Born in Poughkeepsie, Mike had been living and playing music in the Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill area of North Carolina for many years and moved back upstate to Troy in June of 2004. |

Dennis Montano - Guitar, Vocals |
||
![]() |
Dennis is self taught on guitar and been playing for over thirty years, on and off. Taking time off to raise a family, but always somehow finding himself back in the music scene. He does not have one style of playing, but rather enjoys playing a variety of different genres. This made it easy for him to gravitate to the SM’s, with their eclectic set list, and the band's laid back demeanor. |

Arlen Johnson - Keyboards, Vocals |
||
![]() |
Arlen's keyboard stylings jump between percussive latin jazz, straight ahead swing, fusion, bebop, rock, ska, country, and blues. Despite his resistance to becoming a professional musician, he's wound up with an MFA and a background in music theory and composition. (He really wanted to be a lumberjack). Arlen has played in a variety of venues from the Continental Club in Austin, TX, to the bars of northern Maine and Canada. After a several years off from the music scene to start a family and explore the world of a day job, his muse has pushed him back out the door.

Matt played with studmonkey for about a year. He didn't give us any bio info, but we do know he comes from Indian Lake and went to Union College and currently works at G.E. The rest is all still a mystery. We could make up a bunch of stuff, but we'll let you use your imagination.

Casey Schwartz - Guitar, Violin, Mandolin, Vocals Casey recently moved to Rhode Island, but is always welcome back to play whenever he's in the area |
||
|
A Troy area native, Casey has been involved in music since the age of 4, where he first took up the violin and a year later started on the piano. After studying the violin and piano for 12 years, he started playing electric violin/piano in a Dave Matthews cover band called Al Gore and the Uptown Four. Since then, he has picked up the guitar which has been the main instrument for the past 4 years, and has dabbled in the mandolin.
